✨ Seat of Ethiopian Orthodoxy & Imperial Tombs
Holy Trinity Cathedral, known locally as Kidist Selassie, is the highest-ranking Orthodox cathedral in Addis Ababa and the second most important place of worship in Ethiopia. Built to commemorate Ethiopia's liberation from Italian occupation, the cathedral features European neo-baroque architecture combined with traditional Orthodox interior design. It serves as the burial place of Emperor Haile Selassie I and Empress Menen Asfaw, as well as prominent Ethiopian patriots, veterans, and public figures.
