✨ Bridge of God, Rift Valley Lakes & Savanna Wildlife
Nech Sar National Park—whose name means "White Grass" in Amharic—is a spectacular wilderness situated within the Great Rift Valley. It is famously defined by the "Bridge of God" (Yezegoch Dildiy), a thin, beautiful isthmus of land that separates the expansive Lake Abaya and the smaller, azure Lake Chamo. The park’s diverse topography features groundwater forests, hot springs, and sweeping savanna plains that support populations of Swayne's Hartebeest (endemic to Ethiopia), Burchell's zebra, Grant's gazelle, and large prides of lions.
